The Springfield Muni remains committed to providing a safe environment for the staff, volunteers, performers, and audience goers of our 2022 season. Before attending any in-person Muni event, we ask that you review our COVID-19 Safety Guidelines. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you this summer under the stars.
General COVID Precautions
Individuals who have been identified by public health officials as needed to isolate or quarantine are not permitted to attend any in-person event until successfully completing their isolation or quarantine per CDC guidelines.
Individuals experiencing any of the following symptoms within 72 hours of attending an in-person event are asked to stay home instead and contact their medical doctor or primary care provider:
Fever >100.4 degrees Fahrenheit
Frequent episodes of vomiting or diarrhea
Acute or sudden loss of taste or smell
For the 2022 season, all Board members, committee members, auditions staff, auditionees, production staff members, and those involved in all production activities (sets, costumes, props, make-up, choreography, musicians, etc.) must be fully vaccinated with proof of vaccination in accordance with CDC guidelines. There are no exceptions.
Indoor Mask Guidance
In response to the Governor of Illinois lifting the statewide indoor mask mandate, the Muni Board of Trustees has made the decision to align our mask policy with Illinois Department of Public Health guidance for the foreseeable future. While masks are no longer be required by executive order, in areas of high or substantial community transmission of the virus, they are strongly encouraged. This is especially true when participating in activities that increase the likelihood of exposure to COVID, such as dancing or singing.
To assist participants in assessing their risk for exposure to COVID-19, we will share the following information with participants at Muni sponsored events:
The reported level of community-based transmission of the virus as listed on the Illinois Department of Public Health’s website (https://dph.illinois.gov/covid19/data/countymetrics.html?county=Sangamon)
Clearly labeling the activities and areas of increased risk for exposure such as indoor audition, rehearsal, or performance spaces.
There are no masking or vaccination requirements for audience members.
